The term ‘God’ itself seems to be mysterious as its definition highly varies from person to person and religion to religion. God is often conceived as the Supreme Being and principal object of faith. According to deism, God is the creator of the universe & according to pantheism, god is universe itself. Commonly, God is defined as immaterial object with omnipresence, omnipotence and Omni benevolence. God is often defined as the spirit who created the universe and sustained the universe. Some define god to be the source of all moral obligation and some define the universe itself is a god. Commonly, we can divide people into four major categories on the basis of their definition of god; Atheist, Theist, Trans theist, and Agnostic. An atheist is a person who believes that the so called god exist nowhere in no forms, theist is a person who believes that the god is the creator and sustainer of the universe, an agnostic is a person who believes that they cannot find the truth whether the god exist or not and a transtheist, is a person who is neither an atheist nor a theist but beyond both of them.
The variation of the people’s faith towards a god is not limited with these beliefs but the diversification and categories are seen among the theist. Some of the theist believe in monotheism (i.e. existence of single god), some believe in polytheism (i.e. existence of multiple god), while other believe in deism, henotheism, pantheism etc. Not only the beliefs but also the name varies from culture to culture and religion to religion. The Muslims name their god as Allah; Hindu believes that there are 33 cores gods with different names, Christianity use different names such as: Yahweh, Adonai, Elhem, El etc.
The term ‘God’ seems to have been coined in early 6th century and e debate whether the god exist or not seems to have started from the time of origin of human civilization. Debate concerning the existence of god is probably the oldest and most discussed topic in the human history. Various arguments have been put forward by philosophers and scientists for and against the existence of god. According to the recent survey most of the people believe in deism i.e. the god exists & created the universe but doesn’t intervene the nature and natural phenomena.
The definition of god given by a theist itself seems to be contradictory. A theist says god exists outside the everything that is known to us and logical there is nothing beside the everything we know. So, the god doesn’t exist. The great Greek philosopher’s quote seems to be realistic and appreciable for disproving the existence of so-called god.
“Is god willing to prevent evil but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent
Is he able but not willing?
Then he is not benevolent and malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then from where the evil came?
Is he neither willing nor able?
Then why call the god to whom?”
-EcuireSo, the god exists but only in the mind of close minded people that are so arrogant; all of the billions of people around the world and throughout history that have believed in god are delusional.
The power of human mind is incomparable. We have now gone far from this small universe to the concept of multi-universe, from the three visible dimensions to four spatial dimensions and moreover to 11 possible dimensions exploring this much hidden secret of the nature, we could find the god nowhere so it is just a ridiculous to have a faith in the non-exist ‘God’. So we can conclude that the term ‘God’ was just created to solve the mysteries that were unknown to the human kind at the far past.
